New Prayer Room For Our Prayer Warriors
Thursdays at 7:30 pm/Intercessory Prayer
The Prayer Room is located next to the Drop Spot for Jesus Place. Ask a minister to direct you. It is open to anyone and everyone. Prayer is a fundamental part of our relationship with the Lord. This team meets weekly to pray for guidance for our church members, leaders, and specifically for each member who requests prayer for individual needs. Anyone is welcome to join in this vital ministry of our church. You can submit prayer requests on the bulletin inserts or by contacting our church office. The Thirty:
Students Reach Students
2010 Ghana Mission Trip
June 7–18,
On Wednesday, December 9, 30 of our students chose to sponsor 30 children in Ghana with shoes, school uniforms, and food! The cost is $1 a day. Our students will be sponsoring their students by giving $31 a month for thirteen months. This summer, fourty people from our church will embark on a landmark mission trip to Ghana to meet the children we sponsor face-to-face. Throughout the entire week we will be teaching, building a church building and playing with the kids from the orphanage. We will be sharing the gospel as well as building relationships through Bible study, playing games, and getting our tails kicked in soccer!

The cost of this mission trip is approximately $1500 per person. It will take us approximately 20 hours to reach our destination. There are only fourty spots available to the first people that pay their deposit of $250. ALL DEPOSITS ARE NON REFUNDABLE. If you can’t make the trip, please support this effort by making a contribution of any amount. You can email us for info or make a donation online. The GIft On Wednesday night, December 16, we offered every student who came to worship a red envelope. Inside the envelope they found $25. Their instructions were to use the $25 to change someone’s Christmas. We set up a blog composed of the stories behind what each of the students did with their money. KidZONE News
We need you to “Get in the Zone!”

Experiencing God by Henry T. Blackaby led by Elizabeth Cott. Experiencing God is based on seven Scriptural realities that teach us how to develop a true relationship with the Creator. HERE and NOW...THERE and THEN a Lecture Series on REVELATION by Beth Moore led by Brandi Shockley. “We live in a world turned up-side down and it is Scripture that turns it right-side up.” All books of the Bible talk about the redemption story and how they are all tied together. Save the date! Valentines Dinner Dance on Saturday, February 6 at 6:30 pm. Come out for a night of fun with a catered dinner, dancing and a live band playing the romantic standards and upbeat swing tunes of yesteryear.  Singles and couples are welcome.  Tickets are $15.00 for an individual or $29.00 per couple and need to be purchased by February 3.  Tips are appreciated for the student “wait staff” raising money for their ski trip.  Flowers and candy will be available for purchase during the dinner.  Bring your camera for the photo area.  Childcare is available for $2 each child.  Contact Lisa at lisa.fodero@ptcchristian.com or 770 487-9711.  Semi-Formal dress is suggested. WOMAN TO WOMAN MENTORING PROGRAM
The women of Peachtree City Christian Church are invited to be part of this wonderful program. Mentoring requires no special talent or God-given quality. All God asks is for us to take seriously the task of building up and encouraging other women.
If you feel God’s nudge to be a mentor by using what God has done in your life to encourage another woman in her glorious walk of a Christian woman, or if you are a woman who has been feeling the need to talk to another Christian woman who will encourage you as a mentee at this time in your Christian life, this program is for you.
Paul tells us in Romans 1:11-12 “I long to visit you so I can share a spiritual blessing with you that will help you grow strong in your faith. I am eager to encourage you by my faith but I also want to be encouraged by yours. In this way, we will be a blessing to each other.”

The Kick-Off will be Saturday, March 6 at 10:00 am for the mentors and 11:00 am for the mentees.

MISSION and OUTREACH Opportunities
Jesus Place. Every fourth Sunday of the month, a group of volunteers goes to Jesus Place, a homeless mission in inner city Atlanta. If you are interested in being part of this outreach, please contact Donna Martin at 770 487-3988. Jesus Place is especially in need of shoes, book bags and jeans or work pants. The Jesus Place mission committee from PTC3 is asking for new or gently used jeans or work pants for the month of January

Fayette Samaritans Bring canned and dry goods in any time; drop items off at the Mission DROP SPOT just inside the doorway of the multi-purpose room. This helps local families in our community.

HeroBox for Service Personnel Be part of HeroBox, an effort to send comfort to our servicemen and women here and overseas. Join us the last Sunday of each month to stuff boxes. We meet at our HB offices: 135 Howell Road, Ste C, Tyrone, GA 30290. Please bring items for snacks, hygiene and entertainment. First Portion Each week this ministry delivers meals on Wednesday nights to local families. We can use people in the kitchen to help prepare meals or people to deliver and to visit with others. This is a great ministry to share in as a family.

We need your help! Our church operates twenty–one Ministry Teams that serve in our community and around the world. We invite you to participate and to get involved in sharing Jesus Christ with others. NO job or contribution is too small and NO job is too big if we work together. Please check the bulletin boards for volunteer opportunities or call our office. We need you!
