Dear Friends,
Despite the forecast, Friend Day was a beautiful and full of sunshine! Blame Pam Bozek for the rainy days we had to suffer through the rest of the week. You see, she asked God to give us sunshine on Sunday and she didn’t care if it rained the rest of the week. All the kids at Friend Day had a blast bouncing in the inflatables, hanging on until the very end on the mechanical bull, laughing at the balloon sculptures by RJ the Clown (Steven Smith), and enjoying free popcorn and snow cones. Over 1,000 members and guests were served up Jim Nelm’s delicious BBQ. J93 was here emceeing the event, and the Student Ministry had a blast raising funds via the dunking tank. It will be hard to top Friend Day in 2010, but I bet we can! Save the date! Friend Day 2010 is October 2.
